What Makes a Good Title Sequence ?

Kyle Cooper

In a good title sequence, according to Kyle copper the title sequence is suppose to create expectation from the audience, of what's going to happen in the film. In some opening film titles they use small parts of the film, so you may have an idea of what's going to happen. On the other hand some titles sequences use different images and sounds which correlates to the movie or maybe to the genre of the movie. For example if the genre of the movie was horror, then you would expect the opening sequence we could expect some disoriented images and eerie sounds affect in the background and a simple font. Furthermore, the title sequence tries to do what the title says. The opening title is suppose to create an certain atmosphere depending on the movie and it also sets the tone of the movie, if that's not illustrated then it wouldn't make a good title sequence.
